What is kept
- rv_… (cookie): set only after you enter the password on a private case review page, so you are not asked for it again. It lasts 30 days, and page scripts cannot read it.
- fc (cookie): set only after you enter the password of a personal Founder Camp invitation, so you are not asked for it again. It holds the invitation number and a check code. It lasts 30 days, and page scripts cannot read it.
- rnd:decisions:v1 (browser storage): your decision records, up to the latest hundred. They stay until you delete them.
- rnd:handoff (tab storage): carries a tool result into the decision record when you follow that link yourself. It is gone when you close the tab.
- rnd:link (tab storage): keeps the tags of the link you came through (utm, from), so the counter knows the from tag and the form on other pages of the site knows all of them in this tab. It is gone when you close the tab.
- rnd:intro (tab storage): set when the intro plays, so it does not start again by itself in this tab. It is gone when you close the tab.
- rnd:stats and umami.disabled (browser storage): appear only if you opened rnd.energy/?stats=off, and switch my counter and Umami off in this browser until you open rnd.energy/?stats=on.
- rnd:probe (browser storage): set for a moment when the decision record opens, to check that storage works, and removed at once.
Statistics, fonts and hosting
Umami and my own counter work without cookies. Google Fonts sets no cookies. Cloudflare may set a technical anti-bot cookie if it suspects automated traffic.
Why there is no banner
Everything listed serves the site itself: the intro, your decision records, switching the counting off when you ask, the private pages and protection from bots. None of it is needed for advertising or statistics, and none of it recognises you on other sites. So the site does not ask for cookie consent.
How to delete it
All of it can be deleted in your browser settings, under the data of the site rnd.energy. Decision records can also be deleted with “Delete” in “My decisions”.
